Para perempuan dijanjikan hidup sejahtera di luar negeri, namun malah terjebak dalam pernikahan palsu yang berujung pada penipuan, perbudakan, prostitusi, dan pekerjaan ilegal lainnya.
Para korban dipaksa bekerja tanpa upah layaknya pembantu dan tidak bisa menghubungi keluarga di Indonesia.
